(Reuters) – Oracle Corp reported a 6.9 percent rise in quarterly revenue, helped by the company’s aggressive push into the cloud.

The company’s net income rose to $2.21 billion, or 52 cents per share, in the first quarter ended Aug. 31 from $1.83 billion, or 43 cents per share, a year earlier.

Total revenue rose to $9.19 billion from $8.59 billion.
